ZAP AWAY OIL & BLEMISHES – NATURALLY!
As much as I love bundling up in the winter and making hot coco, I don’t love winter skin. Especially because the dry cold air contributes to unwanted acne on my chin. In past lives, I would have instantly reached for a tube of acne cream from my local drug store. Instead, I wanted to test out an all-natural alternative to see if I could get the same effectiveness without the harsh chemicals.
Enter – Gourmet Body Treats Clarifying Serum.
We recently did a piece on Waleska Agosto and her inspiring story of how she carefully crafts each product she sells. The fresh handpicked ingredients she used in each bottle intrigued me so much that I looked to GBT to help rid my acne problems. Waleska has created a product called Clarifying Serum that aims to control oil and blemishes. Seemed right up my alley, so I used the product after cleansing my face in the morning and before bed. A few pumps went a long way and were enough to evenly distribute a thin layer throughout my face. What I’ve learned about this product is that moisturizers and clarifying serums don’t have to have a creamy consistency to work. #HugeMyth. Most moisturizers on the market are actually filled with synthetic fillings that dilute the main ingredients that help moisturize.
With Gourmet Body Treats Clarifying Serum, it took about two weeks for me to see the full results. I didn’t need to use moisturizer after applying the serum and it left my face with a matte feeling throughout the day. Previously, I would use Tarte’s BB cream to help smooth out my complexion and mask oily spots, but I barely needed to use it while using the GBT serum. The cherry on top is the amazing natural essential oils and aloe vera fragrances.
The product is 100% natural, 100% Vegan, Gluten Free and Paraben Free. The only draw back is that if you don’t use it, you lose it. Meaning, there’s no preservatives lurking in the ingredient list so the shelf life is around 6 months strong. On the flip side, the product works so great that you’ll use it well before the 6-month mark. I finished my 1 oz bottle in 7 weeks.
